about

I had a girlfriend who was from Peterborough, and a bandmate who went to Trent University. We traveled back and forth a lot, on that road. Lost the girl, and the band.

lyrics

She had a red car, as dirty as could be
There was garbage under the front seat, from 1993
But it wasn't that bad, it was only '95
She had a red car, she drove it down the line

Some peoples dreams they've drowned in the Trent River Severn
But I let my dreams rust away, out on highway 7

We'd stop to buy smokes, in Kaladar
I thought it was halfway there, so hard to tell in the dark
Nobody had to tell me, how it was going to go
I left part of myself out there, out there on that road
